The Last Day

The last full day before entering into the MTC was full of a combination of food, fun and spiritual events.

President Wheatley suggested that Andrew go through and do some sealings before leaving on his mission, so he was able to witness the sealing and better understand it as he would encourage families to be sealed for all eternity. Since it was the temple Rick and I were sealed in, it was even more special.

After the temple, we went to the Utah Fine Arts Museum and saw an unbelievable car show. A friend of mine suggested that Andrew not miss it, even though he only had a few days left before he entered the MTC. Andrew was thrilled that he took that advise, as some of his all-time favorite cars were there!

Andrew was really wanting me to make him sushi before he left, but we ran out of time. So, we asked around and found out that the best sushi around was at Takashi. It was amazing and the perfect memorable meal for Andrew.

We then traveled back to Utah County and went through a session at the Timpanogos Temple. We consider this one "our temple" since Andrew was around when they broke ground, had the open house and dedication and did baptisms there as a youth. It was wonderful to have some family join us for this special time with Andrew.
